OPERATIONAL READINESS & CUTOVER
The date is set.
Is the business ready?
Build a clear view of the evidence, decisions and operating arrangements needed for a critical go-live.
A date is a deadline.
Readiness needs evidence.
Illustrative criteria, adapted to your programme
01 / THE DELIVERY APPROACH
Make the work concrete.
A clear sequence, shaped around your operating requirements.
Start with the business tasks.
Define what customers, users and operational teams must be able to do.
Agree what proves readiness.
Connect tests, reconciliations and accepted processes to named decision owners.
Rehearse the sequence.
Walk through cutover, hand-offs, decision points and workable contingency.
Support the first cycle.
Prepare issue routes, coverage and conditions for normal operational ownership.

The detail behind the delivery.
Confidence in the business behind the go-live date
A critical change date brings several delivery strands together. The system may be available, but the business also needs the right access, information, processes and support to operate.
Leanpro helps organisations establish what readiness means for their change and build a practical route to the decision. We connect the plan to the activities people need to perform and the evidence that shows they can perform them.
Begin with the essential business activities
We work with the business to identify what must function through the transition. Depending on the programme, that may include serving customers, issuing invoices, approving expenditure, accessing records or producing essential reports.
For each activity, we establish the required people, systems and inputs. We identify who owns the activity, who can accept the result and what would prevent it from working.
This turns broad reassurance into specific questions that teams can answer.
Make readiness evidence useful
Readiness criteria should reflect the decision being made. A system test, a reconciled data load and an accepted operational process each provide different evidence.
We help teams agree the checks, acceptance owners and material exceptions. Where a workaround is needed, the plan should explain how it operates, who owns it and what needs to happen before it can be retired.
The result is a clearer view of the remaining decisions and the conditions attached to proceeding.
Build an executable cutover plan
A cutover plan needs to show the sequence of activity across teams, including the inputs and decisions that release the next step.
Leanpro supports runbook development, rehearsal planning, business communications and coordination of support coverage. We examine the important hand-offs and help prepare responses to likely failure scenarios.
The level of detail should suit the change. A focused business transition and a complex systems migration need different plans, but both depend on clear ownership and a usable sequence.
Plan the support after go-live
The first days of operation need an agreed way to raise issues, assess their impact and reach the people who can resolve them.
We help define hypercare arrangements and the conditions for handing responsibility into normal operations. Remaining programme work should retain an owner and a decision about how it will be completed.
This makes it easier to reduce intensive support without losing control of important actions.
Relevant delivery experience
Our experience includes acquisition cutover at Mortgage Advice Bureau, finance systems readiness during CDP’s business separation and enterprise migration work at Premier Inn.
Across those environments, the useful questions are operational: can people perform the required tasks, are the dependencies understood and is the organisation prepared to respond when something needs attention?
Request a readiness review
If you are approaching a critical change date, we can help assess the current position and establish the remaining work. A review can cover the readiness criteria, ownership, evidence, cutover sequence and support model.
